White Oak Family Medicine Clinic of Oxford, MS specializes in family medicine, which includes the examination, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and conditions of all aspects of health care for you and your family. Services include, but are not limited to; wellness visits, acute sickness and injury, chronic Illness visits, treatment of diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic heart disease and high cholesterol. We see children 2 years of age and older. We do perform school, work, DOT, camp, and sports physicals, immunizations and flu vaccines, ADD/ADHD monitoring and treatment (but not initial diagnosis), and treat women’s health issues. Our clinic does not manage or treat chronic pain or adult ADD (those not involved in an academic setting). We do not perform disability physicals. We do not prescribe any diet pills.
Appointments - our regular office hours are 8:00am to 5:00 pm except Tuesdays – 8:00 am – 12:00 noon. We accommodate same day appointments and walk in patients. We request that you bring your insurance card and medications to each and every appointment.
Telephone Requests – please call during regular office hours with non-emergent questions. Calls are coordinated by our office and clinical staff and Dr. Richardson will be consulted on all medical questions. Phone calls are returned following morning and afternoon clinic sessions.
Prescription Refills – We do not prescribe medications over the phone for acute illnesses or pain. All medications need to be refilled at the time of visit. We only refill (by phone) medications prescribed by Dr. Richardson.
Immunizations – We administer immunizations to our patients. The majority of insurance companies cover some immunizations; however, it is your responsibility to know if your insurance covers this service.
Laboratory Services – We have on site laboratory services for most lab work. Some types of tests must be sent to our reference laboratory for processing.
Work/School excuses – After being seen in the office for your problem if you are in need of an excuse for work/school, we will gladly provide one, if appropriate.
Financial Policy and Insurance – You are ultimately responsible for understanding your insurance policy to the extent of covered and noncovered services, but we will assist you in any way that we can. As a courtesy to our patients, we will submit a claim to your insurance carrier for services performed; however, you are responsible for all expenses not covered by your insurance plan. Co-payments, deductibles and non-covered charges are payable at the time of service. For your convenience we accept payment by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. We have payment discount programs for patients paying cash.
